About The Author

Patricia McGrane is the author of the popular Civil War era historical novels, Because Of The Horses and Legacy Of The Horses...Spring 1865. A former English teacher, magazine writer and professional fundraiser, she graduated from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University. She and her husband lived in Riverside, Connecticut, for thirty-four years and raised their family there. They currently reside in Melbourne Beach, Florida.
